Udaipur JUly 22, 2026 | Rajasthan Government Scheme Updates: Patients suffering from cancer are set to receive immeidate relief from August 2026. The medical and health department has announced that specialst Oncologists from Jaipur's SMS Hospital will be providing specialised support through the telemedicine medium to district medical colleges across Rajasthan. RGHS Monitoring
The Minister proposed developing an AI-based monitoring system to control irregularities within the RGHS setup. This system will be designed to identify pharmacies engaged in misusing the facility and will facilitate necessary action.Additionally, the Minister ordered the formulation of a transparent policy for the procurement of expensive medicines and an audit-based evaluation of options involving RMSCL and 'Green Flag' pharmacies that offer higher discounts.
Swift Processing of Request for Medical Tests
Ms Nidhi Patel, the Addl Chief Executive Officer of State Health Assurance Agency said that applications for medical tests for more than Rs 2000 submitted through the portal will be processed within 30-35 minutes. She informed that the volume of daily applications has reduced from 1700-1800 to between 300-400. This is the result of improvements in the system and identification and addressing of unnecessary tests and those categorized incorrectly.
She further informed that transparency in RGHS has increased and the financial irregularities have been significantly curbed through regular pharmacy audits, verfication of prescriptions and continuous monitoring of tests such as CT and MRI. A reduction iof 40% in requests for CT and MRI has been noted, she said.
