65-year-old Chatar Singh Rajput, resident of Central area died after hanging himself.

The cause of this step taken by Chatar Singh is assumed to be mental stress.

According to police, Chatar Singh used to live with his son Jhalam Singh and his wife in his house near Avri Mata Temple. As per sources, today morning at around 9:15, one of the tenants staying in their house saw Chatar Singh hanging in his room with a rope hooked to the roof.

He immediately informed Chatar’s son Jhalam, who forced himself into the room, which was locked from inside and rushed his father to the MB hospital.

Jhalam Singh informed the police that his father was in stress due to the death of his sister, a few months back. My father was mentally disturbed after that shocking incidence and that might have been the cause of this incident.

The body was handed over to the family members after postmortem.
