In case you are looking for a special registration number for your vehicle, you now have to grab it via auction. In a recent decision made by RTO, special numbers which are in-demand will be given only through an auction from now onwards.

Usually numbers related to one’s birthday or anniversary or of some special significance always remains in demand. Therefore, RTO has decided to put up an auction of numbers which will be requested by multiple parties within a course of 24 hours.

As per Kaan Singh, RTO office, “The problem arises when more than one person asks for a particular number of registration, and then it becomes a matter of concern whom to give the number.”
