Swine flu on Monday claimed the life of a 50 year old woman of Mandi Ki Naal area of the city. The victim woman was admitted to the swine flu ward of M.B hospital on September 10 after she was suspected with the problem. But after receiving the treatment for 3 days she finally succumbed to swine flu on Monday morning at 10.45 am, said Dr. Mahesh Dave in charge of the swine flu ward.
Dave further added that besides three other patients including a duo of prisoners and a woman of Kaya village no new patient has been admitted to the ward on Monday. Out of the three patients, the condition of the woman is critical whereas the condition of the prisoners is stable now.
As the sample testing machine of the hospital is not working properly the samples are going to Jodhpur lab. Moreover due to 2 continuous holidays the reports got delayed that will be received till Monday evening, Dr Dave added.
