A 45-year-old truck driver, Dali Chand Teli, got severely injured after falling from a truck while loading goods. He was rushed to MB Hospital, where he passed away last night during treatment.

Angered over the incident, relatives of Dali Chand protested outside collectorate and demanded compensation from the company, Shakti Road Lines, where the victim used to work.

Protesters also alleged that the owner of Shakti Road Lines, Pradeep Sindhi, did not use to give proper salary to Dali Chand over last 15 years. They said that, Sindhi even turned down Dali Chand’s request for financial assistance for his daughter’s marriage that is slated for next year.

Around 70 people gathered outside collectorate and demanded action against the owner of Shakti Road Lines. Demands include compensation of death and proper salary of last 15 years.

Some of the relatives even alleged that Dali Chand might have been murdered. The protesters however did not call for the postmortem of victim.

According to sources, the incident took place yesterday when Dali Chand was loading goods in the truck when he accidently fell down to the ground and got severely injured. Dali Chand was rushed to hospital where, during treatment, he succumbed to the injuries.
