Two people died while one was injured in a tragic accident that occurred last evening, 22nd March, on the National Highway #8, near the Handi restaurant.

22-year old Dinesh s/o Devilal Meena was killed instantly after being hit by a truck allegedly coming from the wrong side, while another victim Khemraj succumbed to his injuries early this morning at MB Hospital.

The deceased Dinesh’s younger brother Deepak (14) has been admitted to MB Hospital where his condition is said to be stable.

According to Goverdhan Vilas police, the trio was going on a motorbike to their village, Kundal, at around 8:30 pm, when a fast approaching truck, which was on the wrong side of the road hit their motorbike.  Dinesh was run over by the truck and died on the spot while Khemraj was seriously injured and Deepak received minor injuries.  All were taken to MB hospital by the police team that arrived on the spot.

The dead bodies were handed over to the victim’s family after post mortem.
