Mahesh Waghmare, 49, professional bodybuilder and weight trainer has won the title of Mister Rajasthan at the State Level Bodybuilding Championship which held on 5^th January, at Pratapgarh.

Waghmare grabbed first position in Senior Weight Category (70-75kg) and a Gold medal in Master’s Category. It is Waghmare’s 7^th consecutive win; he has remained unbeatable for past 7 years. In Dec 2012, he had won a gold medal in a North-India level competition in which competitors from 11 states participated.

Mahesh said, “Bodybuilding comes out of passion and dedication and it is also an art of carving our body and keeping it in best shapes.”

“Besides all glory and praise we bodybuilder gets, the other side of the sport is based on how much financially sound you are to bear the expenses of diet, work outs and strict lifestyle”, continued Mahesh.

He said, “There are many people who have potential to do wonders in this sport but lack of government support discourages most of the bodybuilders.”

Mahesh Waghmare participated in 12 National Level Body Building Competitions till date, and is preparing for another National Level Body Building Competition that is about to be held at Sri Nagar in April 2013.
