Ajay Jain (45), M.D of Jai Vardhman Khaniz Pvt. Ltd. a softstone mines owner and resident of Bhuvana, Udaipur died after his car met with an accident in the Kewde-Ki-Naal area today late afternoon at 4:30 p.m.

Ajay son of B.K Jain was returning to Udaipur from his Dhariyawad  Bharkhundi based Mines, in his Tata Safari, being driven by his driver, Ansar Ul Haq, s/o Sheikh Allah Noor Khan, resident of Savina, Udaipur.

While driving, their car was trailing a truck in Kewde Ki Naal and Ansar motioned the truck to allow them to pass. The truck gave way, but while their car was overtaking, the truck again swung back, thereby hitting the car on the passenger side, causing a severe head injury to Ajay Jain and also seriously injuring Ansar.

Both Ajay and Ansar were rushed to Geetanjali Hospital, and while Ajay succumbed to his head injury, Ansar is still in a critical condition and under observation at the hospital.

Meanwhile, no trace of the truck was found; as by the time help arrived, the truck had disappeared and even the number was not noted. Police have launched a hunt for the vehicle and the driver.

The entire incident was narrated to the Police by Ansar, and the status is as given to UT by the Head Constable of the Zawar Mines Police Station.
