‘Sunday on Cycle’ Fitness Drive at Fateh Sagar on Aug 24
Udaipur, Aug 23, 2025 - “Sunday on Cycle Campaign” will be held in Udaipur on August 24, 2025. According to Additional Superintendent of Police (City) Umesh Ojha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched the Fit India Movement in 2019 with the aim of making fitness a part of people’s daily routine. As part of this initiative, the campaign Fitness Ka Dose, Aadha Ghanta Roz (a dose of fitness, half an hour daily) was conducted. And the “Sunday on Cycle Campaign” is a continuation of this initiative by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.
Under this programme, cycling, running and walking will be organised from Fateh Sagar kaala kiwaad to the Fish Aquarium. Following which fitness activities like yoga and Zumba will be held in the Fish Aquarium premises.
The campaign will begin at 7:00 am.
Participants will include personnel from the Rajasthan Police, Arms Battalion, District Sports Officer Mahesh Paliwal, Mohd Shakeel from the Sports Department, Sumeet from My Byk, NCC cadets, local cycling clubs, local media, 94.3 Dainik Bhaskar FM Radio, Narayan Chaudhary from Aadhar Foundation, fitness groups, officials from various departments, students and the general public.
The Nodal Officer for the event will be Deputy Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Ashok Anjana, while Traffic Police Inspector Madan Gehlot will serve as the Assistant Nodal Officer.
The administration has appealed to the public not to park vehicles on the main road of Fateh Sagar Pal and to fully cooperate with the traffic police.
