Udaipur, Jan 25, 2026: To reduce road accidents in Udaipur district, the Rajasthan Police has launched a special enforcement drive under Road Safety Month, which is being actively implemented by Udaipur District Police and Rajasthan Traffic Police. Under the priorities set by Rajasthan Police Headquarters for the year 2026, road safety and effective traffic management have been placed at the highest priority.

As per the directions of the state government and police headquarters, an intensive enforcement campaign is being conducted in Udaipur to prevent road accidents, safeguard public life and property, and ensure smooth traffic movement. Along with strict action under the Motor Vehicles Act against violators, continuous public awareness initiatives are also being carried out.

During the campaign, action is being taken against helmetless riding, triple riding on two-wheelers, overloaded vehicles, overspeeding, drunk driving, wrong-side driving, and lane violations. Speed control operations are being conducted in Udaipur city and on the surrounding national highways using speed radar guns and interceptor vehicles.

Through the newly implemented “Challenge on Camera” app, Udaipur traffic police personnel can instantly take pictures of traffic violations on the spot and issue e-challans immediately, ensuring transparency and effective action.

Udaipur Police has appealed to citizens to strictly follow traffic rules for their own safety and that of others. Obeying traffic rules is not only a legal requirement but also a social responsibility.

Road safety saves lives. With collective cooperation, road accidents in Udaipur can be significantly reduced.
