Soon after the news of sad demise of Shiv Sena Chief Bal Thackeray spread like a jungle fire, Mumbai witnessed the exceptionally tense situation today.

Reports of market shutdown and traffic jam in several places in Mumbai, stronghold of Shiv Sena, came along as Matoshree- the residence of Sena Supermo goes into irreparable pain of losing the head of the family and the party, Bal Thackeray.

Senior Shiv Sena leaders appealed all the activists to stay calm and requested not to evoke any law and order situation and those who are in other states, avoid travelling to Mumbai.

Shiv Sena office at Udaipur observed a quick meet today evening to discuss the issue and decided to organize a remembrance prayer at Shaheed Smarak on 19th Nov.

Kishor Jaiswal, president of Udaipur Shiv Sena told UT, “Bala Saheb is a father like figure for us and will always remain so”. There are around 10,000 shiv sainiks in Udaipur region divided into several shakhas and managed by respective leaders.

“Senior leaders have requested all shiv-sainiks to stay calm and not to travel to Mumbai, so we are not going and will try to manage the local office”, said Jaiswal.

All key people of Udaipur Shiv Sena were present in the meeting, including Shekhar Vyas, Balwant Salvi and Prakash Mewara.
