Two people were wounded in a clash that broke out today at Aadhaar Card Booth sector-3, opposite BSNL office. The fight took place when people waiting for card registration protested against employees for Aadhar card team who started giving preference to their known ones.

Two people were wounded in a clash that broke out today at Aadhaar Card Booth sector-3, opposite BSNL office.

The fight took place when people waiting for card registration protested against employees for Aadhar card team who started giving preference to their known ones.

Mahavir Kumar Rathore and Dharmendra, both local residents were allegedly thrashed by team of Aadhaar card when they objected the biasness by the team while many locals had been standing in the queue for a long period. In the attack, both Mahaveer and Dharmedra received injuries.

Residents of the area complained irregularities in Aadhar Card booth and criticized the mismanagement by the authorities that led to several problems faced by the locals.

Poonam Upadhyay, one of the residents of sector 3 said, “We all had been standing since morning 9:30 am, but till 2 pm we did not get our turn. After 2 pm, when the third machine of Adhaar was started, 8 to 9 people known to the aadhar card team entered directly inside the room.”

“When protested by Maheveer Kumar, he was beaten by the team. I request the administration to stop making the Aadhaar Cards at this cost or first train their teams to behave properly with the people”, added Poonam.

Bhupendra Kumar Jain, ward councilor said, “For the last 10 days, we have been receiving some or the other complaints against this team. After the incident today, we have decided that all the residents of the area will present a memorandum in front of the Collector and will register a case against those who were involved in the physical abuse”.
