Hunger strike by acid attack survivor Shalu Jain entered its fourth day today. Shalu is on hunger strike demanding additional aid from government after she faced a horrifying acid attack in 2009.

MLA Phool Singh Meena met Shalu today and after discussing with her, Meena met ADM City and deliberated on the matter. The administrative officers including higher police officials are trying convincing Shalu to break her fast but all their efforts so far have been futile.

The administration proposed to get her medical treatment done at the best of hospitals in state but the offer was turned down but Shalu.

According to Shalu, despite the continuous pressure from the administrative officials to end her fast and to get admitted in hospital, she will continue her ordeal till her demands are met.
