In the major reshuffling of administrative officers in Rajasthan, the present S.P of Udaipur Mahesh Kumar Goyal has been transferred to Jaipur Intelligence Department as S.P whereas the DCP of Jodhpur, Ajay Pal Singh Lamba has been appointed as new S.P of Udaipur District.

During his post as DCP (West) Jodhpur, Lamba played a vital role in arresting Asaram Bapu for his alleged involvements in sexual abuse case.

Ajay Pal Singh Lamba had previously served in Udaipur during probation time of 5-6 months.

55 other officers were also transferred in the Udaipur Division including the districts of Chittorgarh, Banswara and Rajsamand.
