Dr Anees Jukkerwala Honoured with Rajasthan Gaurav Award 2025

Udaipur, September 2, 2025 — Dr Anees Jukkerwala, Head of the Neurology Department at Geetanjali Hospital, Udaipur, was recently honoured with the Rajasthan Gaurav Award 2025 for his remarkable contributions in the field of Neurology, particularly in the treatment of epilepsy. The award was presented to Dr Jukkerwala by Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Kisanrao Bagade.

The Rajasthan Gaurav Award, which was first established in 1995, is given to individuals who have excelled in their respective fields. Dr Jukkerwala's selection for this year’s award was made by a jury comprising of a special panel of medical professionals.

Dr Jukkerwala has been instrumental in initiating south Rajasthan’s first epilepsy surgery at Geetanjali Hospital. To date, his team has successfully performed around 50 complex epilepsy surgeries, offering a new lease of life to many patients suffering from the condition. Today, the Epilepsy Centre at Geetanjali Hospital is equipped with advanced facilities, offering modern treatments from diagnostics to therapeutics under his leadership.

On receiving the award, Dr Jukkerwala expressed his gratitude to Suresh Mishra, coordinator of the Rajasthan Gaurav Samman 2025, his family, the Neurology Department and Geetanjali Hospital.
