A fishing adventure at a small lake in Sukher resulted in a freak accident causing the death of a labor employed with Talesra Marbles at Amberi yesterday.

The body of Laxman Gameti was retrieved by divers after a 5-6 hour search operation in Purohito ka Talab at Sukher.

Earlier, Laxman, 35, resident of Pratapgarh had gone fishing with his friend Devi Lal to the Purohito ka Talab.  While he was fishing, he attempted to go to the other side of the lake, probably in a bid to get better game on the other side.  This was when he drowned in the water.

On getting the information, the police rushed to the spot and called divers to attempt and retrieve the body.
