Over a hundred people from Dangi community held a meeting with state minister GulabchandKataria and discussed about the Lakadwas Rape Case and its aftermath which turned into riot.

Members of the community under the leadership of local BJP leader MotilalDangi met GulabchandKataria and appealed him to help in the release of innocent members of their community who were wrongly arrested for rioting and torching the houses of Kalbeliyas.

The representatives told Kataria that, the action should be taken against those who ablazed the houses and thrashed the victims but innocents should be set free.

While discussing about the rape case in Lakadwas, the community members said that, police has arrested only two people for rape while two of the co accused are still roaming free.

On 23^rd June, two people belonging to Kalbeliya community allegedly raped a woman from Dangi community inside a auto rickshaw at Lakadwas.

Following the crime, police arrested both the accused but a group of people attacked a small neighborhood of kalbeliyas and torched 8 houses, 1 vehicle and manhandled women and children.

Police has arrested 26 people from Dangi community for rioting.
