Railway Employees protest against FDI

A number of railway employees under the banner of North Railways Employee Union protested today at Udaipur city railway station against Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).

The protestors expressed their agitation towards higher authorities of Railway Department and government for privatizing Railway.

Nishit Srivastava , Station master informed that they condemned the policy of government to privatize the Railway by introducing FDI.

The employees also demanded to remove the PPP model from their sector. Moreover, no amendments should be made in the bonus structure and the new pension scheme should not be applied and it should remain on the old pattern.

“If the Railway Ministry doesn’t take our demands seriously, we will continue protest and might go on strike,” indicates Shrivastava.
