Being overweight brings many health issues, and we all know losing weight is not exactly an easy task. The worst part of being overweight is not only you feel exhausted all the time, but your self-confidence level also drop down every time. When Apar Kulsreshtha from Delhi realised that his weight is crossing the limits, he planned to take this weight loss journey seriously. From that day, this dedicated guy didn't look back. From working out 5 days a week and sticking to the meals as suggested by his Fitness Coach Vindeep, he made his transformation journey an inspiration for everyone around him.
Apar is 35 years old stands 6ft1inch tall. His highest recorded weight, when he took up his transformation journey under Vindeep, was 132kg! With a stirct regimen and dedication, he lost all of 32 kgs in 4.5 months. Apart from heavy weight, Apar suffers from Diabeters since the last 4 years and and Blood Pressure from 1.5 years. Here is an excerpt from an interview conducted with Apar... on his problem, realisation and finally his transformation journey.
What was the Turning Point?
"While being overweight it impacted my overall mental & physical health, and I even realised that it was also hampering my work life. I decided I had to do something before things completely went out of my control."
"However, the final turning point came when I came to know about Vindeep Methani through a cousin. Vindeep is a Fitness Coach based out of Udaipur. I went though his years of work on transformation journeys on social media and that impressed me to an extent, that I took the call to connect with him. I got in touch with Vindeep to clear all my doubts, specially on how he can help me remotely, from a distance of nearly 700km. I was convinced with the way he was training his clients globally and decided to be a part of his vision of transforming lives. Reassured, I started my weight loss journey and the result is here for all to see. My current weight is 97, and I lost 35 kgs in less than 5 months. "
What's the most difficult part of being overweight?
"When you start hating yourself in the mirror, it is time to take control of your life. For me, the most difficult part of being overweight was the fact that I started getting signs of different medical conditions. Apart from this, my weight was also the reason that my body was no longer flexible and me extremely lethargic."
How did you stay motivated through these last 5 months?
"My Coach Vindeep, a Qualified Personal Trainer & Nutritionist was the main source of motivation throughout this journey. Weight training, cardio, nutrition guidance, etc is one part of the process. What matters the most is how the trainer can be your mentor during this journey with the kind of motivation he/she provides. Vindeep guided me in his online sessions throughout and also, he made me realise that just the exercise will not help me to lose fat and improve fitness levels until I am not eating what is right for my body."
"Also, one of the most important lessons I learnt from him is to have patience, because the journey to lose fat isn't as easy as it seems. It does not work overnight...it works only if the regimen is established with patience.. I adopted a healthy lifestyle which includes being mindful about what I eat and what I think. One thing we should keep in mind that our mind is the most powerful weapon, so train that, and you can change your life."
