The Health Committee of the UMC will take over responsibility of cleaning the Ayad River, as decided in Udaipur Municipal Corporation’s meeting held yesterday at the Conference Hall of UMS.

This meeting was held under the chair of Paras Shingvi, UMC Corporater and President of Chamber of Commerce. This project also includes cleaning of the Gumania Nala.

Shingvi informed that both the rivers are huge inside and full of waste, so it will be cleaned on contract basis, which will be allotted through tenders. The process will begin in the next fifteen days and it is expected that the process will go through quickly so that the cleaning process commences as soon as possible.

In the meeting, Dhanpaal Swami President of Garbage Committee assured them that any vehicles required during this task will be provided by their department. The members also finalized a purchase of 500 dustbins that will be used in the cleaning process would be made available to the cleaning staff.

Paras also added that the relevant Committees have also decided to start the cleaning process at Surajpol, Ashvani Bazar and Bapu Bazaar during the night.

It was also proposed that for cleaning of the rivers, small sewer should be constructed so as to avoid water logging.

Rajesh Jain, K.L Samdani and Devendra Seni was also a part of the committee meeting.
