Gearing up for the upcoming assembly and parliamentary elections, the minority cell of BJP today slammed Congress for their treatment of minorities and held it responsible for the plight of the communities.
A press conference was held today in Udaipur where Farukh Hussain, President of Minority Cell, BJP, Zahiruddin Sakka regional representative and Nathhe Khan, senior BJP Leader kicked-off BJP’s campaign to woo the minority voter base.
To improve the acceptance of the party in the minority segment, the cell shared BJP’s plan for building credibility with the Muslim Community. Various initiatives have been planned towards this goal including “Chalo Muslim ke Ghar” where BJP will go house-to-house and try to garner support from the minority community.
BJP has historically been treated by the minority community as Hindu-hardliners. BJP will try to change this perception via its campaigns.
BJP Minority Cell accused the Congress for exploiting the minority community in its 56 years of rule. It maintained that Congress never worked on improving the education levels in minority community which eventually forced them to poverty.
On being asked as to how the BJP Minority Cell will change the state of Minority community, Nathhe Khan said that they will improve the community’s awareness about what is going wrong and about the measures to overcome the roadblocks.
“We will also work towards raising the education level of the community” said Khan, an active BJP worker since 1977.
