Indian National Congress (INC) marked its foundation day today, known as one of the largest Indian Political Parties. Congress was founded on 28^th Dec 1885.

Udaipur’s Congress Party workers also celebrated the occasion by organizing meetings at different places. Both divisions, City and Rural organized flag hoisting ceremony and addressing sessions by the local leaders.

Neelima Sukhadia, President of Congress Committee (City) hosted the program at her Durga Nursery residence today. Despite alleged groupism in the party, Sukhadia invited all the members to join the program.

One of the senior members of congress Devilal Jain (81) announced to donate his body posthumously.

A small fraction of congress party workers were not present in the meeting including assembly election contestant Dinesh Shrimali.

Speaking on the occasion, Raghuveer Singh Meena MP said that whoever did not attend the meeting today will face disciplinary action.

Lal Singh Jhala, president of Congress Committee (Rural) said, “We celebrated the day for three main causes, one as the foundation day of party, second is review meeting after election and third main reason Janm Saptah Samaroh to celebrate birthday of Jawaharlal Nehru.”

The senior members of the party were also honored for their contribution. Heeralal Salvi, the only congress contender who won the state assembly election was also present on the occasion.

When asked how and why congress faced defeat in Udaipur, Lal Singh Jhala said, “After reviewing all past conditions and circumstances, we came to the conclusion that the key reason of defeat in state assembly election is choosing wrong contender.”

On loosing the election, Raghuveer Singh Meena accepted the defeat and stated that the reason of the loss is inflation, specially the rising price of onion.

Congress Committee (Rural) also marked the day at RMV School Compound whereas another meeting was held at Mohta Park by Block President Sharafat Khan.

While congress is celebrating its 129^th foundation day, one of the strongest parties of country is appearing weak due to clear groupism as three different meetings were held to mark the occasion.
