After becoming the Secretary of State Congress Committee, Gajendra Singh Shaktawat arrived in Udaipur. A huge number of party members reached his house to congratulate him of getting a prominent position in the party.

Shaktawat while conversing with the media said that he will now focus on the activities to strengthen the party and improve the work.

Regarding acquiring 3 seats in the UMC elections, as well as getting a setback in the Vidhan Sabha and Lok Sabha elections, he said that the party will rectify the mistakes made in the past. Shaktawat also added that this time the President of PCC and Leader of Congress party Sachin Pilot has given clear instructions to take actions against such party member who are found negligent towards their responsibilities and work.

Shatawat claimed that though the party could not get more seats in the Civic bodies’ elections but the voting percentage has increased from past.

Shaktawat was accompanied by senior leaders including Trilok Purbia, Dinesh Shrimali. On 3rd December, State Congress Committee will conduct a meeting at Jaipur which will be presided by Gurudas Kamat, National secretary of congress party.
