People from across India participate in Bindaas Foundation’s 30-Day Fitness Challenge as Laxman Singh covers 1259km on foot
Udaipur, July 10, 2026 | Udaipur Local News Fitness Challenge: Promoting fitness and an active lifestyle during the summer season, Bindaas Foundation successfully concluded the fifth edition of its flagship Summer Sungram 5.0 – 30 Days Fitness Challenge. The month-long challenge witnessed enthusiastic participation from fitness lovers across India, encouraging people of all ages to stay active through cycling, running, and walking.
Participants were required to remain active for at least 20 days and complete the prescribed minimum distance in their chosen category. To ensure fair competition, this year's edition featured separate categories for Athletes, Beginners, Men, and Women, giving participants from different fitness levels an equal opportunity to compete.
The challenge attracted participants ranging from 14 to 66 years of age, representing cities including Udaipur, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Ajmer, Beawar, Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Haryana, Assam, and many other parts of the country.
Cycling – Athlete Category
In the Athlete Cycling category, 66-year-old Nandlal Sharma emerged as the champion for the second consecutive year by covering an impressive 2,821 km. Parbat Singh Chauhan (2,005 km) secured second place, while Shubham Kothari (1,812 km) finished third.
Cycling – Beginner Category
In the Beginner Cycling category, Pallav Jain (1,147 km) claimed first place, followed by Chitransh Kharol (806 km) and Ayush Devpura (516 km). Chetan Kothari (480 km) and Mangal Prakash Jangid (479 km) also finished among the Top 5.
Cycling – Women's Category
In the Women's Cycling category, Urvi Mehta (1,067 km) secured first place. Khushboo Mali (708 km) finished second, while Advocate Shweta Sand (533 km) claimed third position.
Walk/Run – Men's Category
In the Men's Walk/Run category, 66-year-old Laxman Singh Rathore delivered an outstanding performance by covering 1,259 km to secure first place. Jaideep Goyal (1,184 km) finished second, followed by Bhuwan Joshi (304 km) in third place. Govind Kharol (298 km) and Suresh Choudhary (298 km) also featured among the Top 5 finishers.
Walk/Run – Women's Category
In the Women's Walk/Run category, Sneha Sarda (551 km) emerged as the winner. Rasmeet Arora (366 km) secured second place, while Neha Rathi (235 km) finished third. Chetna Joshi (216 km) and Kavita Kothari (160 km) also made it to the Top 5.
Activities Monitored Through Strava
All participant activities were recorded and monitored using the Strava fitness application, ensuring complete transparency and accurate tracking throughout the challenge.
Event Coordinator Bheru Singh Sisodiya said that participants included entrepreneurs, doctors, chartered accountants, lawyers, teachers, students, homemakers, retired officers, and professionals from various fields. He added that many participants were not regular athletes, yet they completed the 30-day challenge with remarkable discipline, consistency, and dedication.
Govind Kharol, Founder of Bindaas Foundation, said that the objective of Summer Sungram is not merely to organize a competition but to encourage people to adopt regular physical activity and make fitness an integral part of their daily lives.
"The enthusiasm, discipline, and consistency shown by participants have been the biggest achievements of this initiative. The overwhelming response to Summer Sungram 5.0 has made this edition more successful and inspiring than ever before," he said.
All successful finishers will be honoured with Finisher Medals, Certificates, and Prizes during a special prize distribution ceremony.
