Banasthali continues Victory on second day of Women's Cricket

The 5 days Inter-state Women 20-20 Cricket Tournament at Meera Girls College ground moved ahead on its second day with two matches played today. The first match of the day was played between Banasthali Royals & Mewar Warriors in which Banasthali won the match while the second match was between Ajmer Challengers and Queen XI Mewar which was won by Queens XI Mewar.

The first match of the day was played between Banasthali Royals & Mewar Warriors in which Banasthali won the match while the second match was between Ajmer Challengers and Queen XI Mewar which was won by Queens XI Mewar.

According to Surendra Barwa, scrorer of the tournament, Banasthali Royals won the match after achieving the effortless target of 18 runs set by the team of Mewar Warriors in only 1.2 overs.

Puja Jhakar and Suman Patel from Banasthali took 3 wickets each while Ankita Bijlani got 2 wickets. The Banasthali Royals played well and scored 19 runs without losing any wicket.

Banasthali continues Victory on second day of Women's CricketThe second match which started at 1 pm was played between Queens XI Mewar and Ajmer Challengers. After winning the toss Ajmer Challengers chose to field first. Queens XI Mewar made 158 runs in 20 overs. Harshita Makwana scored 73 and Nargis Rathore 45 while Kirti Saraswat and Bharti Bairwa took 2 wickets each.

Ajmer Challengers were all out for 97 runs. Babita Meena scored 30 runs and Niresh Kumari 16 runs.

From Queens XI Mewar Neetu Sokhi, Santosh Sharma and Madhu Shekhawat took 2 wickets each and Divya Makwana and Harshita Makwana took 1 wicket each. Today’s Woman of the match was Harshita Makwana for her brilliant knock of 73 runs with the help of 13 fours, 1 six and also took an important wicket.

In the presentation ceremony Nikhil Kumar from Tata Docomo, Commandant Palash Singh Jhala, Australian player Anna and Ghanshyam Singh Joshi were present.

Tomorrow the first match will be between Ajmer Challengers and Mewar Warriors and the second match will be played between Banasthali Royals and Queens XI Mewar.
