District Power Lifters Association is organizing a power lifting tournament for seniors and masters under both the Men’s and Women’s categories. Athletes under various weight categories will be taking part in the competition that is scheduled to be organized at Alok Health Club in Hiran Magri Sector 11.

According to Rajendra Singh Bhui, President, District Power Lifters Association, entries for the tournament will be accepted until 10 am on 9^th June 2013.

Rajendra Singh further added that the competition will be held for 56kg, 62kg, 67kg, 72kg, 80kg, 90kg, 100kg and above 100kg categories in both men’s and women’s section.

Another Power Lifting competition has been planned in the month of July. This event will be organized by District Power Lifting Association which is the official organization for Power Lifting in District. The district level competition will be held on 1^st July. This will be followed by a State Level tournament on 6^th and 7^th July in which around 15 teams from various districts will participate.

Vinod Sahu, Secretary, District Power Lifting Association, informed that the competition scheduled on 1^st July and 6-7^th July would be open for both Men’s and Women’s categories. Events under categories of Sub-junior, Junior and Senior weight categories will be organized at Luv Kush Stadium.
