Vineet, who was holding a charming smile and proud on face, was heavily garlanded by his fans and followers outside MB College today afternoon, the road too was packed by the people who badly wanted to have a little glance of the champion.

Vineet, who was holding a charming smile and proud on face, was heavily garlanded by his fans and followers outside MB College today afternoon, the road too was packed by the people who badly wanted to have a little glance of the champion.
31-year-old Vineet Saxena proved as a match winner to team Rajasthan who won the Ranji Championship against Tamil Nadu on 23 January at Chennai. The heart throbbing innings by Udaipur boy made him in the list of some of the best batsmen of the world including Sanath Jayasuriya, Gary Kirsten Len Hutton etc.
Vineet was carried away on shoulders by his fans all through the Commerce College where he was made at the spot chief guest of the annual fest, Vanijyam 2012.
D.S Chundawat, Dean of Commerce College Udaipur and Paramveer Singh Chundawat, President of Commerce College heartily welcomed the right hand batsman, Vineet.
Balwant Sharma, Former International Umpire and the President of Mewar Cricket Club Udaipur said, “We have gathered here to welcome Vineet who has made all of us proud; Vineet was one of the players of Mewar Cricket Club in the past days.”
The rally started with the arrival of Vineet by passing through all major areas of the city including Suraj pole, Bapu Bazaar, Dehli Gate, Hathipole, Bada Bazaar and stopped at Jagdish Chowk for a while where the player was honored by Kailash Soni, senior player of Mewar Cricket club of Udaipur and then again proceeded towards his house at Hiran Magri, Sector 14, Udaipur.
Apart from his recent achievement, Vineet is also the first player from Udaipur who played 3 times in Irani Trophy and had been a part of professional cricket twice in England for 2 years. Vineet also represented India in Under-19 match at Sri Lanka.
Various Cricket Clubs of the city including Vinay Cricket Club, Udaipur Calls, Rajasthan Art ,Rajputana Cricket Club, Vinay Blues , Gaurav Cricket Club, V.G Cricket Club , United Cricket Club , New Talent Cricket Club, Ambedkar Club, Base Cricket Academy, Field Club Cricket Academy etc. joined in the rally today.
