Panch Gaurav Swimming Talent Search in Udaipur
Block-level swimming talent search competitions under Panch Gaurav Yojana were held in Jhadol for Kotra, Phalasia and Jhadol blocks; tribal region swimmers showcased strong talent
Udaipur, March 11, 2026 - Under the Panch Gaurav Yojana and the “One District One Sport” initiative, swimming has been selected to promote sports talent in the district. To identify and nurture promising swimmers, block-level Swimming Talent Search Competitions are being organised under the guidance of District Collector Namit Mehta and UDA Chairman Rahul Jain.
In the second phase, block-level competitions for the tribal region blocks of Jhadol, Kotra and Phalasia were organised at the swimming pool of Dungar Bagh Resort, Jhadol, on Tuesday (March 10), according to the District Sports Officer Dr Mahesh Paliwal. Around 45 swimmers participated from the Kotra block.

1st: Arjunlal, Ajay, Khaliyarama and Kishan
2nd: Arjunlal, Kamlesh Kumar and Sameer Kumar
3rd: Rahul Kumar, Savjiram and Siddharth
Girls Category
Winners: Munnikumar, Jia Kumari and Sanjana Kumari
From the Phalasia block, around 60 swimmers participated.
Boys Category
1st: Narpat Singh, Yuvraj Singh and Narendra Kharadi
2nd: Siddharth Kharadi, Jaipal and Vijay
3rd: Mohanlal, Raghuvar Singh and Siddharth
Girls Category
Winners: Priyanka, Surya and Kiran
From the Jhadol block, about 76 swimmers took part.
Boys Category
1st: Jitendra Kumar, Emesh and Rajkumar
2nd: Sanjay Kumar, Madanlal and Pankaj
3rd: Ramesh Kumar, Prakash Kumar and Ramesh
Girls Category
1st: Laxmi Kumari, Ramila and Manisha
2nd: Tina, Kavli and Kailashi
3rd: Sanu Kumari, Kailashi and Sanu
The chief guest at the event was Additional Block Education Officer Manish Joshi.
Dr Paliwal further informed that on March 11, competitions will be held in Gogunda for the blocks of Gogunda, Sayra, Devla and Badgaon. In the fourth phase, block-level competitions for Mavli, Vallabhnagar, Bhinder and Kurabad will be organised on March 12.
Selected participants will receive special training in a 15-day residential camp from March 13 to 28 at Maharana Pratap Khel Gaon, Udaipur, where skilled trainers will provide professional coaching.
