The proposed match of polo is now scheduled on the eve of Independence Day, on 14^th August at BN Ground. Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje is expected to be the chief guest of the event.

Informing more about the upcoming event, Dr. Mahesh Kapila, Joint Director of Animal Husbandry Department said that at first the match was planned to be held on 6^th Aug, but later it was rescheduled.

Kapila said that 14 horses will be prepared for the match, out of which 2 will be kept reserved. Few of the horses are being brought from Pushkar, since horses here are not trained for the sport yet.

The idea of polo match is initiated by District Collector Ashutosh Pednekar after the successful horse show held at Gandhi Ground a few months back.

Kapila informed that people who are known in polo like Himmat Singh Bedla, Vikram Dev Singh Thana, Om Singh and few others will participate in the upcoming match.
