Udaipur, Nov 26, 2025 - A meeting was held on Monday at the Smart City Office to review route expansion and introduction of new ones in Udaipur city in keeping with the upcoming launch of 50 new buses under the PM e-Bus Seva initiative by the end of December 2025.

The meeting was organised under the chairmanship of Abhishek Khanna, CEO of Udaipur City Transport Services Limited (UCTSL), and attended by Udaipur Development Authority (UDA) Commissioner Rahul Jain, Transport Officer Gyandev Vishwakarma, officials from RIICO and Udaipur Nagar Nigam and other senior officers from various departments.

According to Khanna, detailed discussions were carried out on RTO-certified routes to ensure smooth operation of the 50 buses with a focus on public convenience.

The meeting reached a consensus on extending the city bus service to outer and rural areas such as Kaya, Kavita and Ghanauli. Operating electric buses on these routes will improve connectivity in suburban and rural regions, providing reliable transportation for students and the working population.

The final approval for selected routes will be given in the upcoming meeting chaired by the Udaipur District Collector. Following this, physical route inspection, field visits for bus stops and preparation of time schedules will be carried out.
