The planned release of water from Akodra Dam and Alsigarh Dam has ensure that the Pichhola is back to its monsoon beauty.

The scenic and iconic lake of Udaipur, that houses the prestigious Lake Palace hotel and whose banks are home to the Udai Vilas, Leela and Trident, will be reaching tipping point this week, as only a few inches are remaining.

Gates of both Akodra and Alsigarh dam are expected to remain open for another couple of days, which will ensure that the iconic lake is back to its scenic best. The waters of Pichhola and Fatehsagar, apart from holding aesthetic beauty, are also a major source of water for the residents of Udaipur.
