UdaipurTimes, Oct 9, 2026 - Air travel to Saudi Arabia has been impacted following the attacks on two Saudi airports by Yemen’s rebel Houthi group in which three civilians were killed and several injured. As of now, Indian airlines Air India, Air India Express, Akasa Air and IndiGo have suspended all operations to Saudi capital Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport until at least October 10.

The conflict in the region has intensified following an escalation in fighting between the Iran-backed Houthis and Saudi-aligned government forces. Akasa Air has cancelled all flights to and from Riyadh until Saturday, October 10. Air India and IndiGo, too, have suspended all operations to and from the Saudi capital.

Impacted passengers are being offered complimentary rescheduling or full refunds by the respective carriers.

Additionally, the Saudi-Houthi increase in hostilities has led to disruption of several other carriers to the Saudi Kingdom.

Meanwhile, India on Thursday, October 8, issued an advisory asking its nationals in Saudi Arabia to remain alert, vigilant and stay indoors amid the evolving security situation in the country.
