Local Trains Will Operate from Udaipur City Station

New Date to Be Announced for Non-Interlocking Due to CRS Approval Delay

 |

Udaipur, 13 February 2026: Local trains that operate from Udaipur City Railway Station will continue to run from Udaipur City Station as usual. Earlier, the plan was to operate these trains from Rana Pratap Nagar Station from February 12-17 2026. However, due to pending approval from the Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS), the work to connect platforms 9 and 10 with the Umarda line has been temporarily postponed.

Umarda Tracks

For railway network expansion, tracks 9 and 10 at Udaipur City Railway Station are being connected to the Umarda side. Currently, platform 9 is connected only to the Rana Pratap Nagar side, while platform 10 is not connected to any side. Both platforms are now being prepared to connect with the Umarda line. This will allow trains to arrive and depart from both ends on track 9, while a train from Umarda can arrive and stop at track 10. This development will enhance the operational capacity of the station.

Re-Schedule

The work to connect platforms 9 and 10 at Udaipur City Railway Station to the Umarda side was scheduled, which also required non-interlocking clearance. Under this plan, local trains running from the city were supposed to operate from Rana Pratap Nagar Station starting 12 February, while from 17 February, all trains would operate from Rana Pratap Nagar Station instead of City Station. The new date for non-interlocking will be announced soon.
