RNT Medical College Udaipur organised a 2 day ‘RAJNEOPEDICON’ Conference from 22nd to 23rd November with collaboration of NNF and IAP Udaipur Branch. The theme of the conference was ‘Integrated Neonatal Child and Adolescent care.’

In this conference, workshops and seminars were conducted with 150 speaker sand around 500 pediatricians from around the world. The aim of organizing the conference was to discuss the possible ways to provide mental and physical health and preventive care from new born kids to adolescents.

Dr. Lakhan Poswal stated that there were discussions regarding how to acquire knowledge of chronic illness among kids and provide international level treatment. Dr Sanjeev Hadkawat from Houston, USA talked about the effects of liver failure and how it is possible for transplant in kids which is lacking in India. According to him, there is 99% survival rate among kids who have liver transplant but this treatment needs to be spread in India too.

The speakers also talked about serious diseases, heart attack, thalassemia and other diseases which are found in children.

Dr. Sunoo Udani of Hinduja Hospital Mumbai strongly commented that there is an ardent need of infrastructure and better transportation facility through which medical help can reach even the remote areas and vice versa.
