A trio including a property dealer and a history sheeter has been arrested by the police on Wednesday with illegal arms. The accused were later booked under various sections of Arms Act and 3 fire arms have been confiscated from them.

Accused were identified as Shakir Hussain of Goverdhan Vilas area, Maqbul alias Thakral Mevafarosh of Savina and Dinesh alias Kau of Indra nagar.

On Wednesday the police got a tip off that the accused Shakir would come at Shiksha Bhawan Circle of the city with an country made revolver. Reacting on the information, a barricading was launched which helped catch the accused. After interrogation, he revealed that he kept the weapon with an intention to teach his brother in law a lesson over an issue.

Shakir further added that another property dealer Maqbul alias Thakral had an illegal weapon in his possession who was later arrested in the evening from Badi village, SP Rajendra Prasad Goyal added.

During ht interrogation of Maqbul, he revealed about accused DInesh aka Kau, a history sheeter of Surajpol police station. A raid was conducted near Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandal where the accused Kau was arrested with country made pistol in his possession, SP added.

As per SP Kau is a history sheeter, having an involvement in a matter of day light murder committed by him in 1996, whereas the latter Maqbul being a property dealer having contacts with criminals and possessing the weapon with an intention to scare his rivals, SP said.
