A 66 year old villager Amma Meena of Kaya village, Udaipur district died during treatment at M.B Hospital after getting targeted by a Panther on Thursday near a water pond, situated few meters away from his house.

The mishap occurred on Thursday afternoon when the victim went to the area to bring his live stock back to the house but at the midway near the pond, he was targeted by a panther attack who tried to end his life yet he survived.

Victim Amma sustained severe injuries during the attack and was later spotted by few kids who rushed there upon listening his screams. They immediately informed other villagers who took the victim to MB hospital where he was admitted with severe wounds; kept under observation, one of the relatives informed.

However, later in the evening the victim succumbed to his injures and his dead body was shifted to mortuary for postmortem that will be conducted on Friday.
