The city of lakes witnessed heavy rainfall in past 24 hours. The continuous precipitation resulted in increased level of water in lakes around the city.

The rain started pouring since Tuesday night and continued till early afternoon of Wednesday. After a break of few hours, the downpour started again in the evening which continued till writing this news.

As per weather department, the city received 12mm rainfall till 8am of 3^rd Sept (the data is recorded in every 12 hours).

Fateh Sagar’s level touched to 6.5 feet while Swaroop Sagar’s level reached up to 7ft mark. Whereas Bada Madar level is touched 16 ft and Udaisagar Lake reached on 16.30ft.

As per the information, the nearby areas of the district also received heavy rainfall.
