Postmortem of a female leopard left the veterinarians and forest officials stunned whenthey discovered two dead kittens in her womb. The two-and-a-half year old female leopard died today after undergoing treatment since 3^rd July.

The beast was found in extremely deteriorating condition in a village of Zawar Mines. The villagers informed the forest officials who rushed her to Udaipur veterinary hospital.

Kesar Singh Rathore, assistant forest ranger informed that, two kittens were found in womb of leopard today. The kittens were already dead.

The veterinarians said that, if the had leopard survived for at least 15 days, the kittens could have been saved.

The doctors said that they were unaware of the leopard’s pregnancy
