Another incident of animal attack came into the picture after a leopard entered the Gadulia ki Dhani area of Mavli on Monday morning and attacked two villagers including former sarpanch.

A huge crowd gathered around the animal but the scene got ugly after an unknown villager threw stone at him. The enraged animal however, fled from the scene leaving two villagers injured while escaping. Upon getting the information, the team of forest department including shooter Satnam Singh, Lal Singh and wild life expert Padam Singh with Arvind reached Mavli for the search of the animal.

According to the villagers, the leopard was spotted at an empty plot of the area at 7 AM. After hearing the shouts of few, other villagers gathered around the animal holding sticks. But before they could react after throwing the stone at him, the leopard escaped after attacking former Sarpanch Shanker Singh and another villager who came in his way.

The injured were taken to the nearby hospital for treatment.
