A leopard cub was rescued by villagers and handed over to forest officials after a group of stray dogs tried to attack the abandoned cub. The shocking incident took place at a village near Jawai Leopard Reserve on 6^th Dec.

According to the information, a cub somehow separated with his family and reached near village. He was surrounded by stray dogs but before the cub get attacked by the dogs, the villagers rescued the baby leopard and informed forest officials.

DCF Wildlife T.Mohanraj informed media that the cub was taken in their custody and given first aid under the guidance of ACF S.S Devda. The cub was kept under observation and later released free  to his mother.
