Panic triggered at Bedwas village on Thursday morning after one of the villagers spotted a leopard in the nearby forest dragging the leftover of a dead cow which was killed by him on Wednesday.

One of the villagers Tulsiram Vyas spotted the leopard on Thursday morning at the adjoining forest while it was busy dragging the dead body of cow that it killed the previous day from a backyard of a farmer and had left it few meters away after seeing the people approaching it.

To take away its food the same four legged ferocious flesh eater once again visited the village. Later, based on the information by Tulsiram, the forest department officials set up a cage to catch the leopard. However, the villagers are frightened believing that the leopard might attack villagers in the future for food.

Though the leopard is still free in the forest, the department officials are putting efforts to nab the animal before it becomes a menace.
