A surprising incident came in light at Dhuli Kaan village of Sanwad, Rajsamand where a young male panther got his head stuck in an aluminum pot in an attempt to drink water from it. Soon a team of Forest Department rushed to the scene and started the rescue operation.
The incident occurred at wee hours of Tuesday night when the panther entered a farm in Dhuli Kaan in search of water. When he saw the pot filled with water, the four legged animal put his head inside it to quench his thirst and instead got his head stuck.
After hours of effort, the panther panicked and started to roar. Upon hearing his roars, one local Ganesh informed the patrolling team of the forest department about the incidence, said Devi Lal in charge of team.
Devi Lal further added that they spotted with the head inside the utensil standing in the farm. The team firstly caught hold of him and tied his limbs. He was rushed to the Rajsamand Forest Department Office where they used the tranquilizer to safely remove the pot from his head.
Also, Satnam Singh and Lal Singh from Udaipur Forest Department rushed to Rajsamand to assist the rescue operation. The panther has been kept at a safe place until he gains consciousness after which he will be shifted to Udaipur’s Gulab Bagh zoo, Devi Lal said.
