Forest Minister Raj Kumar Rinwa on his recent visit to Udaipur on Tuesday made a detour to Sajjangarh Biological Park to meet the recognized tiger T-24 to get update on his health.

While talking to media, Rinwa stated that he verified the vegetables, soups and eatery products that are being served to the wild animal. He also claimed that the forest department’s officials and workers are doing their best to serve the tiger who is now on recovering stage and will be fit in the next 2 months.

Rinwa also verified the health reports of T-24 saying that he was suffering from constipation and had blockage in his food pipe. He added that the tiger had suffered from similar problem when he was in Ranthambore Forest area. The expert panel of doctors has operated T-24 which is considered to be first of its kind surgery of a tiger in the world.

When enquired about the shifting of Ustad back to his old habitat Ranthambore or somewhere else, Rinwa highlighted that the tiger is presently under observation and not in the condition to be shifted. The decision will be taken on the advice of experts.

Few questions were raised in regards to the negligence of forest department towards the animal to which he retaliated saying that the officials are handling the tiger well despite of their holiday time. He however, accepted that an environment definitely plays an eminent role in animal’s behavior but affirmed that he is in good hands at Sajjangarh Biological Park.
