Udaipur welcomes Black Headed Gull from Western Europe

With the onset of winters, the migratory birds have started to arrive in Udaipur, as well its nearby areas. The most recent among the lot is the Black Headed Gull which is known to have arrived from the Western Europe.

With the onset of winters, the migratory birds have started to arrive in Udaipur, as well its nearby areas. The most recent among the lot is the Black Headed Gull which is known to have arrived from the Western Europe.

Anil Rogers informed that while on their wildlife trip, nature lovers Pradeep Joshi and Vinay Dave witnessed Black Headed Gulls. These bird have traveled thousands of kilometers from Western Europe to reach here. Their arrival is definitely a positive sign for Udaipur’s environment.

Joshi and Vinay saw several other exotic migratory birds on their trip. These included one Long Legged Buzzard, 6 Marsh Harriers, 26 Common Cranes, Ruddy Shelduck in abundance, Northern Shoveler, around 200 Ruffs, 20 Common Pochards, Greater Flamingo, Tufted Pochard and many other species of birds. More migratory birds are expected to come this season.
