“Ustad” feeling well! claims authority “Ustad” the ranthambore Tiger which is also known as T-24 has been recovered a lot on Tuesday, he is completely fine and started taking his meal too”, said Rahul Bhatnagar- Chief Forest Officer Udaipur. Ustad was brought to Udaipur’s Sajjangarh Biological park six months back.

Bhatnagar said that a panel of 4 doctors from Jaipur, Sawaimadhopur, Jodhpur and Udaipur were called for the treatment of T-24, on Tuesday the doctors has started his treatment and will keep him under observation for next 3 days.

As per the information the T-24 has been fed with 12 kilograms of meat every day but from last 2 days he was consuming just half of his diet and also not passing stool.

Besides this, the department was also worried about the health of the tiger as Udaipur’s veterinarians does not have any previous experience of treating wild animals, hence the team of doctors were called from other cities.

The senior wild life expert and former wild life warden Dr Raza Thesin informed UT that the tiger was tranqulized and treated, during the treatment the constipation was found to be the main reason, and initial treatment no monitoring was done which is very much required.

Though the tiger is under tight observation but the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) is still unhappy with the incidence, NTCA is disagree with the decision of keeping the tiger in cage and ordered the department to form a committee that Will take a decision of leaving the tiger in open habitat.

The committee was asked to submit their report to NTCA till October 30th but nothing has been done yet.
