Amit Sankhla, the victim of a failed money heist breathed his last while under treatment, two days back. Amit was preparing for IPS examinations.
Amit was an employee of Writer Safeguard, and was carrying Rs 30 Lakh in cash to be deposited in the bank. As per rules, any amount in excess of Rs 10 lakh needs to be accompanied by a security guard and in a secure vehicle. However, his employer had given him receipts of Rs 10lakh each. The employer was aware that any amount in excess of Rs 10 lakh, as per rules, needs to be transported in a closed and secure vehicle, accompanied with a security guard. Writer has played safe by doing this and kept him in the dark.
Amit has left behind his parents (Mother - Bhagwati Kunwar; Father - Ijendra Singh) and three sisters (Vinu; Poonam and Meenakshi). He was the only earning member in his family. His father, Ijendra Singh is 70 years old and has spent his lifes savings in bringing up his children.
Udaipur is coming out in support of Amit's family. Compensation from his employer and justice for the murderers.
