DIET Class 8 Exams Begin; Class 5 Exams from Feb 20
A total of 62,820 students for Class 5 and 56,550 students for Class 8 will participate in these exams
Udaipur, Feb 19, 2026 - As per instructions from the Registrar, under the aegis of District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Udaipur, the Class 8 Elementary Education Completion Certificate Examination commenced Thursday (February 19). The Class 5 Primary Education Learning Level Assessment will begin from Friday (February 20). All district-level preparations for the exams have been completed.
DIET Principal Sheila Kahalya informed that in Udaipur and Salumber districts, 1,642 exam centres have been established for Class 5 and 328 centres for Class 8. A total of 62,820 students for Class 5 and 56,550 students for Class 8 will participate in these exams.
District In-charge Officer Satyapriya informed that 60 collection and evaluation centres have been set up for Class 5 and 28 for Class 8 across both districts. To ensure the security and confidentiality of question papers, all exam centre in-charges have secured the papers at local police stations and checkpoints.
Following the Registrar’s directives, a control room has been set up at the DIET headquarters to monitor attendance and other arrangements at exam centres. Exam management committees have been formed at district and block headquarters for smooth conduct of the examinations. To prevent cheating, four flying squads have been established at the district headquarters under the leadership of CDEO, District Education Officer (Primary), DIET Principal and Vice-Principal, which will inspect exam centres.
The daily exam timing has been fixed from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm. Class 5 will have a total of four question papers, while Class 8 will have six. The final assessment for Class 5 will conclude on March 4 and Class 8 exams will finish on March 6.
Meanwhile, the last date to enter session details for both classes on the Shala Darpan portal has been set as March 6.
