'Saiyaara': Debut Actors Kept Away from Promotion

July 19, 2025 - Mohit Suri's film Saiyaara is getting a good response from the audience after its release. People are enjoying this new-age romantic story starring new actors Ahaan Pandey and Anit Padda.

Meanwhile, director Suri shared the reason why both actors were kept away from the film’s promotion. He said new actors do not have much to share with the media. They can only talk about their time on set and their experience of working with the director, which may not be enough for promotions.

In a conversation with Just to Filmy, Suri explained , "It was a collective decision. Akshay Vidhani and Aditya Chopra sir, who have been our mentors in this journey, felt that until the new actors have some work that people have seen, the media questions are limited to things like, ‘Who was the biggest prankster on set?’ or ‘How was it working with Mohit Suri?’ People are not interested in such questions anymore. Once the actors show their work, the level of conversation changes."

Released on July 18, Saiyaara marks the debut of Ahaan, nephew of Chunky Pandey. Anit is also a new face in the film. At first, Chopra had warned Suri against making a film based on a new romantic story, calling it a big risk. But the latter was confident about the project.

The audience is now enjoying Saiyaara. The film earned Rs 20 crores on its first day. It is expected to perform strongly over the weekend and may become a big hit.
