'Saiyaara': Mohit Suri Brings Fresh Colour to an Old Tale

July 19, 2025 - February may not have come yet, but the season of romance has already returned to theatres. Recently, the film Metro In Dino was released. Now, after a long time, another musical romantic film has hit the big screen. The special thing is that this film marks the debut of two new actors in the film industry.

Love, Dreams, and a New Beginning

The movie Saiyara is about Vaani Batra (Anit Padda), whose marriage breaks, and she is left heartbroken. She writes her feelings through songs in a diary. To move on, she joins a media company where she meets Krish Kapoor (Ahaan Pandey), a young man who wants to become a music star.

Krish gets angry at an article that only praises one member of his music band and not him, because he is a star kid. In anger, he attacks the writer. Later, he asks Vaani to write songs for him. They come close and fall in love. But Vaani finds out she has Alzheimer’s. She will slowly forget everything. Krish now has to choose between love and his dream. What will he do? New Actors, Old Story but Strong Impact

The story by Sankalp Sadana is not new. It reminds us of movies like Rockstar and Aashiqui 2. But Mohit Suri’s direction, the film’s music, the camerawork by Vikas Sivaraman, and background music by John Stewart Eduri make the film special.

Ahaan and Anit are new, but act well. Suri brings out the best in them. Ahaan is natural in emotional scenes. Anit looks perfect for her role and shows the right feelings. Alam Khan also does well as Krish’s friend. Other actors like Rajesh Kumar, Varun Badola and Geeta Agarwal also suit their roles. The song Saiyara stays with you even after the film ends.
