January 16, 2025 - Saif Ali Khan, who was admitted to the Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai this morning following a reported attack by an unidentified intruder(s), has been declared out of danger and is in recovery. During the surgery, doctors removed a knife lodged in the actor’s spine.

According to Dr Nitin Dange, the neurosurgeon who performed the surgery, the knife was lodged near Khan’s thoracic spine and he had “sustained a serious injury to his thoracic spine…the surgery was necessary to remove the knife and repair the leaking spinal fluid.”

The actor had two deep injuries on his left wrist and one on the right side of his neck which were repaired by the plastic surgery team at the hospital.

Readers may recall that the senior actor had to be rushed to the Lilavati Hospital early this morning following injuries during a scuffle with reportedly a burglar(s). Police are investigating the incident.

DCP Dixit Gedam has said that one accused has been identified. According to him, "It has been discovered that the accused used the fire escape to enter their house. So far, the investigation suggests that it was an attempted burglary. We are making every effort to arrest the accused as soon as possible. Once he is arrested, we will be able to disclose further details."
